On February 21, 2012, a car collided with a school bus on Route 40 at Pebble Beach Drive in Ellicott City, reported The Baltimore Sun. The driver of the car and one of its passengers were taken by Maryland State Police Medivac helicopter to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center with life threatening injuries and were listed in critical condition.
