Car Accident Sends Students to Hospital
On Thursday, January 3, 2013, a car was leaving Mt Hebron High School and attemptingto pull out onto Route 99 when it was struck by a Mack truck, reported The Baltimore Sun. According to the account, the car accident involved a Honda Civic loaded with students that failed to stop at a stop sign when exiting the school’s parking lot.
The car’s driver was taken to the hospital in critical condition. The four passengers were treated and released from Howard County General Hospital the same evening. No charges were filed against the driver of the Mack truck; Howard County Police did not believe he was speeding or at fault in causing the car accident.
